I love the Fall. Yes, I said it! “Why?” You ask.
Well, certainly the crisp air and the many options for enjoying the world around us. We often need the autumn air to spur us into action: to clean our yards, review our home for de-cluttering, and to start our winter nesting. But before the weather turns frigid, Fall is also that beautiful in-between time to relish the outdoors with family and friends.
The cooler air offers wonderful hiking and walking weather. It is my favorite hiking time. Why not hike a portion of the Adirondack trail or keep it simple with a local path? You can really take your time and enjoy without concern about summer heat. Exercising becomes more “user friendly!”
There are also so many events: harvest festivals, art shows, farm rides, corn mazes and pumpkin picking and balloon festivals. Traveling to these events brings its own reward too, if you are lucky enough to be on the road while the leaves are changing. Nature paints us a picture that changes daily. Take a drive along the Hudson, visit Old Rhinebeck aerodrome or consider Pennsylvania or New Hampshire.
